Howdy,
It has been quite a while since I last provided an update on our venture. I sincerely appreciate your patience as I've navigated the hurdles and obstacles that come with trying to establish a truly "Made in USA" brand. My goal has always been to create a company that sources and manufactures goods entirely in the United States, from "dirt to shirt", as they say. I have encountered many challenges along the way, and today, I would like to share some of those struggles and how I am finding ways to adapt and push forward.
Finding US-manufactured goods has proved a significant challenge. It is no secret that globalization and low-cost production overseas have led to the outsourcing of much of America's manufacturing industry. This reality has presented extreme limitations when it comes to finding products made from the ground up in our own backyard. However, I believe that perseverance is a pillar of any successful endeavor, and I am constantly searching for ways to work around these limitations.
The journey has also been an educational one. I've had to learn design concepts myself because many of the design companies I had been working with were essentially foreign designers working under the umbrella of US companies. This has been a fascinating process and has given me a newfound appreciation for the artistry and skill that goes into creating the products we use every day.
Then, of course, there's the supply chain, which has been another hurdle in this journey. Thankfully, things are slowly getting better on this front. However, the costs remain high, and this has presented a significant barrier to entry for a small, boot-strapped business like ours. But as with all challenges, I believe there's always a solution.
Currently, one of my strategies to overcome these obstacles is to register my company to bid on federal and state contracts. I am optimistic that this will provide a much-needed boost to our business. The hope is that this strategy will build a stable income stream that can be funneled back into our brand, allowing us to continue the challenging but rewarding mission of bringing back manufacturing to the USA.
This journey has been tough, demanding, and at times, overwhelming. But it has also been incredibly educational. Every challenge has taught me something new, every hurdle has made me more resilient, and every setback has only strengthened my resolve to see this through.
As I continue to work towards building this brand, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for your continued support and patience. Your belief in what I am doing means the world to me, and I am excited about what the future holds.
More to come, stay tuned!
- That is all.
