Our Story

Altar. Arms. Allegiance. The spirit of 1765, brought back — for God and Country.

The Year the Fire Was Lit

In 1765, the Crown stamped the American colonies with a tax meant to break them. It lit a fire instead. Ordinary people — farmers, tradesmen, and fathers who refused to kneel — turned a single act of defiance into a free nation. That spark is our namesake. We carry it forward for God and Country, in the conviction that what they built is still worth defending.

Forged by Service

1765 Apparel Co is veteran-owned and operated. Our founder, William Hawn, served as a UH-60 Blackhawk crew chief across two combat tours in Iraq — years downrange in defense of this country. He came home and walked a long road back to faith, finding it in the Catholic Church, where he now stands as a 4th-Degree Knight of Columbus. This brand was never a marketing angle. It is the continuation of an oath he never set down: faith, family, and country.

From Dirt to Shirt — On American Soil

Most "patriotic" apparel is printed on cotton grown an ocean away. Not ours. Every 1765 garment is built on a heavyweight Bayside blank where the cotton is grown, spun, knit, dyed, cut, and sewn in the United States — true dirt-to-shirt, with nearly 500 American hands on every shirt. It's the one promise a print-shop knockoff can never make, and we will not break it.

Reverent, Never Kitsch

There is a lot of loud, angry, throwaway "patriot" merch out there. We are building the opposite. 1765 is premium and conviction-driven — marks with weight and meaning, made to be worn for years, not discarded with the news cycle. We would rather say one true thing well than shout ten cheap ones.

The Spirit, Worn

We make apparel for the men and women who still believe in something — who kneel before God and stand for their country. Reverent. Earned. Built to last. This is the spirit of 1765, brought back.

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.”
