The Story Behind the Shirt

October 2, 1835. Gonzales, Texas. The Mexican army came to repossess one small cannon. The Texians raised a homemade flag over it — a single star, the cannon itself, and four words: COME AND TAKE IT. They kept the cannon. The line goes back further still — to Thermopylae, where Leonidas answered a demand for weapons with two words: molon labe. Come and take them.

On the back: the Gonzales seal — one star, the cannon in profile, crossed rammers — in weathered bone and gold. On the chest: the original 1765 A Co. mark in our founder's own hand.

Built like a conviction: printed on the Bayside 5100 — 100% US-grown cotton, spun, knit, cut, and sewn on American soil, then printed to order in the USA. Dirt to shirt, no exceptions. Veteran-owned. Est. 1765.
