The Story Behind the Shirt
Paul wrote it to Timothy, his beloved son in faith. He had left him at Ephesus to keep the teaching true (1 Timothy 1:3), and his charge was plain: "O man of God, fly these things … Fight the good fight of faith" (6:11–12). Facing death, Paul wrote: "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith" (2 Timothy 4:7).
On the back: a knight in armor kneeling in prayer at a stone altar with a crucifix and a lit candle, his helmet and a sword laid down at the altar's foot; "Man of God" arched above; below, "Fight the Good Fight of Faith" over "1 Timothy 6:11–12."
